One of the most frequent questions asked about forgiveness is, “does forgiveness mean forget?” Depending on the severity of the incident, you may never forget the incident but the question you have to ask your self is “how do you want the incident to impact your life?” By not forgiving you are actually giving the person or event control over your life. So it is important to understand that forgiveness does not mean forget. You do not have to forget what theperson did in fact you often need to remember so you can remove yourself from emotional or physically dangerous situations.
